Rise Academy is a training program focusing on age appropriate skills and drills for beginners and intermediates that are looking to learn and improve in the game of field hockey. Academy runs for seven weeks in August and September and focuses on different skills, concepts and small sided games each week. All Academy sessions are held at King Louie's turf field. Rise Academy athletes will be grouped based on grades.
Equipment required: All players must provide their own equipment. Please make sure you have these items prior to your arrival as we do not have equipment to rent or borrow.
Shinguards, Mouthguard, Stick, Athletic Apparel, Turf Shoes or Sneakers (NO CLEATS!)
GOALIES: Turf Shoes or Sneakers (NO CLEATS!), Leg Guards, Knickers, GK Pants, Chest Protector, Helmet, Mouthguard, Throat Protector, Stick, Pelvic Protector (recommended)

IFHCK Talent ID Training Academy (5th-8th grades)
Aug - Sep
(Travel/Invite/Assessment based/1-2 years playing experience required)
In our Talent ID program we have U-12, U-14 (5th-8th grades) (including players moving up to U16 for the Indoor Season). This is a strong skill based program with the emphasis on developing the players’ skills, vision, ability to recognize when and where to pass, maintaining possession, and building ball speed and accuracy in passing.
The TIDA is instructional with a focus on providing insight into what is required of our elite athletes and the tools to achieve success at the higher playing level. The program also assists in selecting athletes for the upcoming fall events. The schedule consists of 7-8 training sessions/match play evaluation sessions over the course of two months.
